Attendance and Medical Information
St Joseph’s aim is to have an overall school attendance of 96% which is inline with the Local Authority’s expectations. We understand that there will be illness and other unforeseen circumstances which impact your child's attendance. At the start of each term, an Attendance letter which outlines the LA guidelines on Education Penalty Notices (EPN) is sent to all parents as a gentle reminder of the Attendance process. Attendance and Lates are closely monitored on a weekly basis by the Pastoral Manager.
A further, personalised letter will be sent out if:
- Your child's attendance falls below the school’s target.
- Your child's attendance continues to drop.
- Your child's attendance improves from the original letter.
- No reason for your child's absence has been reported.
- Your child is late consistently.
